Medicare Better Access in Mental Health (BAMH)

Maree is an authorised Medicare Better Access practitioner with an Occupational Therapy Australia endorsement. To access subsidised mental health treatment, visit your general practitioner (GP) for a Mental Health Treatment Plan Better Access initiative. This provides a Medicare rebate for up to 10 individual and 10 group therapy sessions per calendar year. Referrals are typically issued in batches of six, after which your GP will review your progress and authorise a further four.

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

We are proud to support our veteran community. Veterans who hold a DVA Gold Card, or a White Card with an approved mental health condition, can access 12 fully funded mental health OT treatment sessions per year. You will need a D904 Referral Voucher from your GP, medical specialist, or hospital discharge planner.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Maree provides occupational therapy for NDIS participants with psychosocial disabilities. She assists individuals applying for the NDIS by administering required evaluations, including Functional Capacity Assessments, and preparing all necessary documentation. Additionally, she liaises with other health practitioners and NDIS personnel involved in the participant’s care.

Private Health Insurance Extras Cover
If you have private health insurance with extras cover for Occupational Therapy, you may be eligible for a rebate on our mental health OT sessions.No GP referral is required. We recommend contacting your health fund directly to check your specific policy limits and rebate amounts for occupational therapy.
